عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: “لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَهْلَهُ قَالَ: بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبْ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ يُقَدَّرْ بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَدٌ فِي ذَلِكَ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ شَيْطَانٌ أَبَدًا”

Al-Allamah Al-Mubarakfuri di kitabnya Tuhfadzul Ahwadzi bisyarhi Jami’ At-Tirmidzi mengatakan, yang dimaksud dengan ‘mendatangi keluarganya’ adalah menggauli istri atau budaknya. Maksudnya, jika seseorang hendak menggauli istrinya, jadi doa itu diucapkan sebelum melakukannya. ‘Apa yang Engaku anugerahkan kepada kami’ artinya anak dan ‘Tidak dicelakakan syetan selama-lamanya’ artinya syetan tidak bias menguasainya hingga anak itu kelak tidak bias melakukan amal shalih.

Al-Hafidz Ibnu Hajar di Fathul Bari mengatakan, para ulama berbeda pendapat tentang jenis celaka yang diakibatban syetan kepada anak manusia setelah kedua suami istri itu sepakat untuk tidak hamil. Kesepakatan itu dipicu oleh sikap mereka terhadap hadits shahih:

  3. Agar seseorang senantiasa ingat akan musuh utama dalah kehidupan ini, yaitu syetan yang senantiasa menggoda dan menjerumuskan anak cucu Adam. Bahkan sejak berada dalam kandungan. Lalu selalu berlindung kepada Allah dari godaan syetan.
  4. Agar seseorang senantiasa bertawakkal kepada Allah setelah berusaha.
  5. Agar selalu berusaha mengharapkan ridha Allah dalam setiap perbuatan yang dilakukan, baik ibadah mahdhah maupun ghairu mahdhah.
  6. Anak adalah karunia Allah yang diamanahkan kepada orang tuanya dan hendaknya ditunaikan dengan sebaik-baiknya sesuai dengan kehendak Dzat yang memberi amanah itu.
